Answering service for Alberta trades — every call answered, day or night
Most jobs are lost before anyone picks up. This answers the calls you cannot get to, works out what the caller actually needs, and books it into your calendar while you are still under the sink.
Call it right now and listen (825) 305-0902 This is the live line. Ask it anything, try to trip it up.The call you miss is the job you lose
A furnace quits at eleven at night. A pipe lets go on a Sunday. The homeowner pulls up Google and calls three numbers off the first page. Whoever picks up gets the work, and that is the end of the story for the other two.
If you are on a roof, under a sink, or driving between calls, that is not you. It is not a discipline problem and it is not fixed by trying harder to answer the phone. Working and answering happen at the same time of day, and there is one of you.
Voicemail does not close the gap. Most people calling a trade with an urgent problem will not leave a message; they hang up and dial the next result. The call does not show up anywhere you can see it, which is why it never feels like lost revenue. It just feels like a quiet week.
What this does instead
- Answers on the first ring, at any hour, including weekends and holidays.
- Asks the questions you would ask — what is happening, where, how urgent.
- Tells the difference between a no-heat emergency and a quote request, and treats them differently.
- Books the job straight into your calendar instead of leaving you a message to return.
- Texts you the details so you see the call before you are back in the truck.
It runs on your business hours, your service area and your pricing rules. Setup is a conversation, not a project.
Why a trade, not an office
Generic answering services take a message. That is the wrong job.
A message is not a booking
A pink slip saying “call Dave back” still leaves you the work of calling Dave back, usually after hours. A booked slot in your calendar is finished business.
Urgency has to be sorted at the door
No heat in January is not the same call as a spring maintenance quote. Sorting them at the moment they come in is most of the value.
It never has a bad week
It does not call in sick, take holidays, or get busy with something else at 4:55 on a Friday. Same answer at 3am on Boxing Day as Tuesday morning.
What it costs
$297 CAD / month
- First month free for founding Alberta clients
- No setup fee
- No contract — cancel any time
- Your rate locked for as long as you stay
- Live within 48 hours of the setup call
Who is behind it
My name is Sawyer Ruhl. I am a power engineer working a rotation in Fort McMurray, and I built this after watching how many calls go unanswered on a site where everybody is busy doing the actual work.
I am not a call centre and I am not a franchise. If you sign up, the person setting it up and the person answering the phone when something is wrong are the same person, and it is me.
That is also why the demo number is on this page instead of a contact form. You should not have to take my word for whether it is any good — call it and find out in about a minute.
Where it works
Anywhere in Alberta. These are the areas with pages of their own so far.
Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Airdrie, Medicine Hat and the rest of the province are all served the same way — the service does not care where the call comes from.
Hear it before you talk to me
One call, about a minute. If it is not good enough for your customers you will know immediately, and you will not have wasted anything but the minute.
